Saudi Balance of Trade Surplus Shrinks to $959mn in 1986
The surplus in the Saudi balance of trade in 1986 fell to SR3.597bn ($959.2mn) from SR13.97bn ($3.73bn) in 1985, according to recent figures published by the Saudi Ministry of Finance and National Economy. In 1986 the value of exports fell 25.3% to SR74,377bn from SR99,536 in 1985, mainly as a result of lower oil exports, while the value of imports declined by 17.3% to SR70,780bn in 1986 from SR85,564bn in 1985....
