Saudi Arabia to Discuss Ammunition Plant Deal with Germany
The West German government has given its approval to preliminary negotiations between Saudi Arabia and two German companies - Thyssen Rheinstahl Technik and Rheinmetall - on the sale to Saudi Arabia of a plant worth between $2.3bn and $3.4bn to manufacture artillery and tank shells.
