First Wildcat Spudded in Balhaf Concession
Elf Aquitaine Petroleum (EAP), an affiliate of the French state-owned Elf Aquitaine, on 14 October spudded its first wildcat well - Balhaf No. 1 - in the Balhaf concession in South Yemen. The drilling contractor is Canada's Westburne International Drilling Ltd.
