OPEC PRODUCTION TOPS 17.3NN B/D IN OCTOBER
According to preliminary MEES estimates (see table below), OPEC crude oil production rose to 17.3mn b/d in October, an increase of 2.4mn b/d over the third quarter 1985 average of 14.9mn b/d. Most of the increase came from Saudi Arabia whose output rose by 1.5mn b/d, from 2.5mn b/d in the third quarter to 4.0mn b/d in October (which still remains within Saudi Arabia's OPEC quota of 4.35mn b/d).
