Italy to Seek Reduction in Algerian Gas Price
The President of Italy's ENI group, Mr. Franco Reviglio, has said that ENI's subsidiary Snam will shortly open talks with the Algerian national oil company Sonatrach on the renegotiation of its contract to import some 12bn cubic meters of Algerian gas annually via the Transmed pipeline, and that the Italian side will be seeking a significant reduction in the price of the gas.
