Sharq Starts Commercial Erports
The Eastern Petrochemical Company (Sharq) - a 50/50 joint venture between the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) and a group of Japanese companies led by Mitsubishi - has started ahead of schedule commercial exports of petrochemicals from its $1.3bn plant at Jubail. A small cargo of linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) was exported at the end of September, followed by 7,700 tons of ethylene glycol shipped to Japan on 16 October....
