Mitsui Awarded $18.9mn Contract for Hina al-Fahal Refinery Expansion Project
The Omani Ministry of Petroleum and Minerals has awarded Mitsui Engineering and Shipbuilding Company of Japan an $18.9mn contract for the expansion of the capacity of Oman's only refinery at Mina al-Fahal from 50,000 b/d to 80,000 b/d in order to meet the rising local demand for oil products up to the 1990s. Construction work on the project is scheduled for completion in 22 months time.
