Growth of Egyptian Debt S1ows Down
A report from the Egyptian Prime Minister, Mr. 'Ali Lutfi, to the People's Assembly on 17 November stated that total public sector debt grew by 13.6% during the past fiscal year to reach E£46,077mn at the end of June 1985. In the previous fiscal year the debt had increased by 16.4%, and state borrowing has slowed down both in absolute and relative terms. New borrowing in FY 1984/85...
