Snamprogetti Wins Contract for Jubail MTBE Plant
The Saudi-European Petrochemical Company (Ibn Zahr) - a joint venture owned 70% by the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) and 10% each by the Arab Petroleum Investment Corporation (Apicorp), Enichem of Italy and Neste Oy of Finland - has awarded Snamprogetti of Italy a construction management contract to build a SR1,100mn ($301mn) plant at Jubail to produce 500,000 tons/year of methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE)....
