ICJ Refuses to Revise Offshore Boundary Judgement

On 10 December the International Court of Justice (ICJ) unanimously rejected a Tunisian request for revision of its 1982 judgment on the definition of the continental shelf between Libya and Tunisia, which may contain oil. The 14 judges also reminded both parties in stern language that they are obliged to end the dispute by negotiating a treaty.
