MEES learns that Iran is still suspending crude oil deliveries to Syria pending payment by Damascus of approximately $65mn in interest accrued from the 1983 agreement between the two countries. As a result of this disruption in supplies and in order to cover the shortfall, Syria is making spot purchases of crude and products from international trading firms and has received oil assistance from at least one Arab state...
