Gas Output Expected to Rise to 9.8Bn Cu. Ms. in 1990
Quoting a number of officials of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) on the gas scene in Egypt, the Cairo daily al-Ahram of 24 December 1985 states that the country's production of gas amounted to 6.5bn cu. ms. in 1985 and is expected to rise to 9.8bn cu. ms. in 1990. The gas output, which is consumed locally, resulted in a saving of 6.3mn tons of crude oil in 1985, and the saving is expected to rise to 9.4mn tons...
