Halliburton/Brown and Root to Pull Out of Giant Libyan Water Project
The Dallas-based Halliburton announced on 9 January that it will pull out of Libya in accordance with the executive order issued by President Ronald Reagan on 7 January. Halliburton's UK subsidiary Brown and Root is the engineering and management consultant for the 1,200 mile (1,930 km) great man-made river (GMR) desert-to-coast pipeline.
