NOC Hakes Two New Discoveries
Libya's National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced two discoveries of oil and gas last week. The first was at Aridah in the Sirte Basin where reserves totaling an estimated 50 trillion cubic feet were reported to have been discovered in a new 68 sq. km. field, while the second find was of oil in the Ghadamis Basin in the western part of the country, according to the Libyan News Agency (JANA) on 11 January.
