SPC flakes New Discovery at al-Hall Field
The Syrian Petroleum Company (SPC) announced on 9 January that it had made a significant discovery of light crude oil in the northeastern part of the country. MEES hears that the find was made in the lower Cretaceous at a depth of some 3,200 meters in the al-Hall field, some 10 kms. from the Iraqi border, with an initial flow of around 2,000 b/d.
