Algeria, Iran and Libya Call for Output Regulation Meeting in Tripoli on 3-5 February
Oil Ministers of the tripartite bloc of OPEC hard-liners - Iran, Libya and Algeria - have called for production cutbacks to meet the current crisis in the world oil market. The three countries now oppose OPEC's new policy of "defending a fair market share," apparently insisting that the Organization should shoulder whatever output reduction may be necessary to maintain prices.
