Japaneae Spot Purchases Fall in 4Q 1985
According to official figures from Japan, it appears that Japanese spot oil imports, after rising to a record 36% of total oil imports in the third quarter of 1985, began to fall off in the fourth quarter. The figures show that after averaging 957,800 b/d (26.1% of total imports) in 1984, spot imports rose to 1,299,000 b/d in 1Q 1985 (32.5% of total), fell to 862,000 b/d in 2Q 1985 (28.6% of total), and rose to 1,129,000 b/d in 3Q 1985....
