Qatar Signs Production Sharing Agreement with Amoco
On 17 February, Qatar signed a 25-year onshore oil and gas production-sharing exploration agreement with Amoco of the US (Standard Oil of Indiana) for an area of approximately 8,000 sq. kms. covering the whole of the Qatar peninsula with the exception of the tract incorporating the Dukhan field and a block in the north east.
