More EEC Tariffs on Saudi Petrochemicals
The European Economic Community (EEC) has imposed an 8% tariff on imports of Saudi melamine after the 1986 duty free ceiling of 449,000 ECU ($436,428) was exceeded under the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP). The EEC already imposes a 12.5% tariff on Saudi linear low-density polyethylene and high-density polyethylene, a 13% tariff on Saudi methanol, and an 11: tariff on Saudi and Kuwaiti urea (MEES, 3 March).
