HADEED Raises Output in 1985
The Saudi Iron and Steel Company (HADEED) - a joint venture owned 95% by the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) and 5% by DEG of West Germany - in 1985 produced a total of 1,017,897 tons of steel bars and rods, up 44.8% from the 1984 output of 703,000 tons, and 27.2% above the design capacity of 800,000 tons.
