EEC Increases Crude Oil Imports from Libya by 5.6% in 1985
The member states of the European Economic Community increased their imports of Libyan crude oil to 638,000 b/d in 1985, an increase of 5.6% over the previous year, according to statistics recently released by the EEC. The community also imported 96,000 b/d of refined products, a threefold increase over 1984. The UK and Italy substantially raised their product imports to 40,000 b/d and 26,000 b/d, respectively.
