Ras al-Khaimah Commissions LPG Plant
The UAE emirate of Ras al-Khaimah has commissioned a 1,000 b/d liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) plant which utilizes natural gas from the offshore Saleh field. The plant was built at a cost of $16mn by McDermott of the US. Two storage tanks with a total capacity of 500,000 barrels were recently brought on stream to store the condensate which is extracted from wet gas from the Saleh offshore wells.
