Saudi Exports of Crude and Products to US Surge in January
Saudi exports of crude and products to the US registered a dramatic increase in January, according to figures released by the American Petroleum Institute (API), averaging 664,000 b/d as compared to the 1985 average of 167,000 b/d. The API noted that on this basis Saudi Arabia had become the third largest source of US petroleum imports after Canada (826,000 b/d) and Mexico (680,000 b/d).
