SABIC's Profits Quadruple in 1985
The Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) in 1985 posted a net profit of SR147mn ($40.2mn), more than four times the 1984 figure of SR34.3mn ($9.4mn). SABIC's 12 petrochemical plants produced 6.3mn tons of products in 1985 up from 2.7mn tons in 1984, according to the Saudi Minister of Industry and Electricity, Mr. 'Abd al-'Aziz al-Zamil.
