New Lube Additives Plant in Saudi Arabia
The Saudi Lube Additive Company (Salaco) - a joint venture between Essochem Near East, a subsidiary of Exxon, and Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Establishment - last week began building a new plant in Yanbu to produce additives for lubricants. The plant, which is scheduled to start up in 1987 with a capacity of 20,000 tons/year will cost an estimated SR44mn ($12mn). It will be assembled by the Saudi Engineering and Construction Company.
