Oman Inaugurates Lube Oil Blending Plant
The Omani Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Salem ibn 'Abd Allah al-Ghazali, officially inaugurated on 5 May a new lubricating oils blending plant constructed at Mina al-Fahal at a cost of RO3mn ($7.8mn). The plant is owned by the Oman Lubricants Company (OLC), a joint venture between Shell and local Omani partners. It has a design capacity of 20,000 tons/year of some 30 different varieties of lubricating oils.
