EEC Imposes 13% Tariff on Bahraini Methanol
The European Economic Community (EEC) has imposed a 13% tariff with effect from 2 June on imports of Bahraini methanol (produced by the joint venture firm the Gulf Petrochemicals Industries Company - GPIC) after the duty free quota of 3.3mn ECU ($3,126,856) was exceeded under the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP).
