Iran and Turkey to Commission Study on Oil and Gas Lines
According to the Iranian Minister of Heavy Industries, Mr. Behzad Nabavi, Turkey and Iran will call for tenders within the next three months for a research and marketing study on proposals to build oil and gas pipelines from Iran to Turkey. Speaking in Ankara on 19 June after talks with Turkish officials, Mr. Nabavi said that "the negotiations which have been going on for a year have now reached a final stage."
