Murphy Plans to Start Production from Small Horus Field in August
The Alamein Petroleum Company, owned 50/50 by the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation and Murphy Oil (operator), is planning to put the small Horus field into production in August of this year at a rate of 1,000 b/d from three wells that tested in 1982 and 1983 at rates of 300, 350 and 450 b/d.
