AMF Lends Syria $7.2mn
The Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) has agreed to lend Syria $7.2mn to help offset the country's balance of payments deficit, according to an agreement signed on 2 July. The loan is repayable in three years, including an 18-month grace period, and carries an annual interest rate ranging from 3.75 to 4.75%.
