French Companies Suspend Liftings of Iraqi Crude Following Failure to Agree on Price Terms
MEES learns that the two major French oil companies - CFP/Total and Elf/Aquitaine - have suspended liftings of Iraqi crude following failure to reach agreement with Iraq's State Oil Marketing Organization (SOMO) on price terms for a renewal of their 80,000 b/d contract which expired on 30 June 1986.
