RCC Ratifies Turkish Power Link Agreement
The Iraqi Revolution Command Council (RCC) ratified on 27 July a 1985 agreement under which the Iraqi national power grid would be connected with the Turkish network, supplying around 400mn-500mn KW of power annually to southeastern Turkey. The project is expected to be completed in November 1987, with each country being responsible for building its own transmission lines and for the expansion of the local substations near the border....
