Venezuela and Nigeria welcome Norwegian Statements
Last week's announcement by Norwegian Prime Minister Gro Brundtland that her government would contact oil companies operating in Norway's offshore fields in order to discuss possible restrictions in production (MEES, 1 September) has been hailed by both the Venezuelan Energy and Mines Minister, Dr. Arturo Hernandez Grisanti, and by the OPEC Conference President, Nigerian Oil Minister Rilwanu Lukman.
