KRG Announces Export Breakthrough As Iraqi Oil Politics Heats Up
The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in Iraq announced on 8 May that it will make its long awaited and controversial debut as an oil exporter on 1 June. Initially up to 60,000 b/d will be exported from the DNO-operated Tawke field, to be joined within weeks by trucked volumes from the Taq Taq field, operated by Canadian firm Addax.
