War Losses Reach $309bn 

Iran now estimates that its economic losses resulting from the Gulf war totalled $309bn as of 22 September 1985 (the fifth anniversary of the start of the war), according to press reports in Tehran. The reports attribute this figure, which excludes military and manpower damages, to a Plan and Budget Ministry study which says the highest losses - $160bn - were sustained by the oil sector.
