Libya and the USSR Hold Nuclear Power Talks
Officials representing Libya's Energy Secretariat and the Soviet State Committee for Economic Affairs are currently holding talks concerning the construction of two 440-megawatt nuclear reactors, according to the Libyan News Agency (JANA) on 2 October. The agency said that Libya wishes to use atomic energy for peaceful purposes, and that the proposed nuclear power plants would save around 315mn barrels of oil used in electricity...
