North Africans Borrow Again
Algeria and Tunisia are again vying for the attention of the international syndicated loan markets, with $680mn worth of new credit being arranged. Tunisia continues to receive relatively favorable treatment from the euro markets. A $100mn loan it mandated during the summer (MEES, 30 July) was substantially oversubscribed, and the amount has been increased to $130mn. The agent bank is Arab Banking Corporation...
