Shell to Buy all of SADAF's Ethanol
According to an announcement by US Shell, its US chemical subsidiary has agreed to take the entire annual output of crude industrial ethanol - some 100mn gallons a year - which will be produced at the new Jubail petrochemical plant by the Saudi Petrochemical Company (SADAF), a 50/50 joint venture between the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) and Pecten Arabia, an affiliate of US Shell.
