Iraq-Jordan Pipeline Project Shelved Says 'Aziz

Iraq has shelved plans for a proposed Iraqi-Jordanian crude oil pipeline because of the proximity of the project to Israel and the lack of safeguards to guarantee the uninterrupted operation of the venture, according to Mr. Tariq 'Aziz, the Iraqi Foreign Minister.
