IDB Provides Aid to Bangladesh
The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) has agreed to provide $11.5mn to Bangladesh, according to an agreement signed on 28 November. $10mn is in the form of a loan to help finance the construction of a dam, repayable in 25 years with a service charge of 2.5%. The remaining $1.5mn is provided as a grant to help a school construction project. Total IDB lending to Bangladesh now stands at $398mn.
