Japan Gives $25mn Grant for Cairo Opera House
Japan has agreed to give Egypt a grant of $25mn to help build a new opera house in Cairo, according to Mr. Yusif Sissi, head of the Egyptian opera company. The grant covers the design and construction of the opera house, which is due to be completed in 1987 and is expected to cost $30mn. Egypt will contribute the remaining $5mn.
