FAO Gives Emergency Food Aid to Sudan
The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has agreed to provide $3mn worth of wheat, edible oil and milk powder for refugees in eastern Sudan, according to an announcement on 14 January. The aid forms part of the $19.6mn allocated for drought relief in Eastern Africa, a FAO statement said.
