Oil Deals with Bulgaria and Thailand
Iran has signed agreements for the export of crude oil to Bulgaria and Thailand. Bulgaria will purchase 1.25mn tons of Iranian crude (25,000 b/d) in 1985 under a contract signed in Tehran on 23 January, while Thailand will barter some 800,000 tons of rice - worth $150-200mn, depending on quality - for an unspecified volume of oil.
