North Yemen Receives Aid from the US and West Germany
North Yemen signed aid agreements with the US and West Germany worth $22.71mn last month. The US has agreed to provide $14.71mn for three projects: $7.95mn for agricultural development, $4.76mn for basic educational programs, and $2mn to finance an irrigation project. West Germany will provide DM25mn ($8mn) to maintain and expand the Santa-Ta'iz highway.
