Iraq Hits Two More Tankers in Gulf War
Iraq has continued for the sixth consecutive week its aerial attacks on Iran-bound ships. On 12 February, the 264,018 dwt Fellowship-L was struck by an Exocet missile in the bow. The vessel, owned by Ceres Hellenic Shipping Enterprises, was 50 miles south of Kharg Island with a cargo of 230,000 tons of Iranian crude oil destined to Europe. There were no casualties and the tanker headed under its own power to the UAE for assessment....
