Algeria to Pay Part of Water Contract with Crude
A Yugoslav consortium headed by Hidroelektra and Hidrotehnika has been awarded a $380mn contract for a project to improve the water supply system in Algiers which provides for 25% payment in the form of crude oil supplies. The part-payment in oil was made a condition of the contract, which was awarded through open bidding, by the Ministry of Water, Environment and Forests.
