US Grants Somalia $25mn
The United States has agreed to grant Somalia emergency food supplies worth $25.3mn to combat famine and to aid the Ethiopian refugees settling in the country, according to an announcement on 24 March. The US has appropriated $100mn worth of staple foods for Somalia during 1985.
