Qatari Budget Deficit Increases, Revenues Fall
Projected revenues for the current Qatari fiscal year, which began on 22 March, have been cut back by 18.6% to QR9,737mn ($2,675mn), according to the budget released last week. State expenditure has also been cut back, by 7.9% to QR15,607mn ($4,288mn), but this is a cosmetic reduction as it excludes a further QR1,440mn ($396mn) of expenditure by other state organizations.
