Nigeria Countertrades with Austria
Hard on the heels of its $500mn counter-trade agreement with Scoa and ElfAquitaine of France (MEES, 6 May), Nigeria has concluded a similar $200mn dealwith Voest-Alpine of Austria. Under the agreement Voest-Alpine Inter trading,the specialized trading subsidiary of the state-owned steel, electronics andengineering group, will take Nigerian crude worth $200mn in exchange forAustrian capital goods, steel and building materials.
