Sudan Receives Aid from Holland, US and USSR
Sudan has received aid worth $91.18 from the Netherlands, the US and the USSR. The Netherlands will provide $4.2mn towards the country's oil import facility,$56.4mn for balance of payments support and 7,000 tons of grain in food aid. The US will lend $30.5mn worth of wheat and wheat flour, to be repaid over 30 years at a 3% interest rate, while USSR will provide $85,000 worth of relief aid.
